So, You’re Guy didn’t Win the 2020 Election!

November 4th, 2020 the world watches as America tallies votes in its presidential election; whatever the outcome, when the final counts are in, either Biden or Trump will be the next president of the United States. Regardless of which camp you’re in, it’s time to put aside the hissy fits that have been blight to America’s government these last four years, accept the results of America’s democratic process and get behind the new president.

I don’t say this because believe in an electoral process that votes party politics over the popular vote, but because God is not surprised by the outcome, His word tells us as much in Romans 13,

Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God. 2 So anyone who rebels against authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and they will be punished. 3 For the authorities do not strike fear in people who are doing right, but in those who are doing wrong. Would you like to live without fear of the authorities? Do what is right, and they will honor you. 4 The authorities are God’s servants, sent for your good. But if you are doing wrong, of course you should be afraid, for they have the power to punish you. They are God’s servants, sent for the very purpose of punishing those who do what is wrong. 5 So you must submit to them, not only to avoid punishment, but also to keep a clear conscience. Romans 13:1–5 NLT

It doesn’t matter if you like the election results, God put the winner in office not man. When you dispute the results your dispute is with God, not the Democrats or Republicans. If you insist on fighting God please don’t stand to close to me, like Sodom and Gomorrah, it’s not going to end well.

The question that we should be asking now is why did God choose whom He did? Did God choose the next president to bless and heal America or did He choose him in judgment to punish America? Whatever you believe, other than directives like Hitler’s Holocaust the answer is the same, God’s word calls all people to submit to, support and pray for the leaders placed over them,

…work for the peace and prosperity of the city (country) where I sent you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, for its welfare will determine your welfare.” Jerimiah 29:7

Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. 2 Chronicle 7:14

When the dust clears, and the last postal vote is counted God’s choice, not mans’ will be known. A final choice remains will you accept the outcome and get behind the next President in prayer or will you continue having tantrums like a child. If you choose to continue your childish behavior, you’re fighting God not Biden or Trump, kindly take ten steps in any direction, I’d prefer not to be struck by lightning.
