The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome (Understood) it. John 1:5

Silas Baisch

Turn on a light deep in a mine shaft, and darkness flees for however long that light remains connected to its power source. Stay connected to Jesus, your power source, and darkness cannot overcome the light of Christ in you.

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me, you can do nothing. If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers… John 15:5–6a

Maybe you feel like you’ve lost your connection to the Father. Gideon felt that way and hid in a wine press to thresh wheat. Yet an angel called him a mighty warrior.

When you know Jesus, you are a child of the light. ( 1 Thess. 5:5–11) Be a Gideon, break your pitcher, and reveal the light of Christ within you, and darkness must flee.

In Genesis 1:2, we see that darkness covered the earth,

God looked into the darkness. He didn’t say, “Wow, it’s so dark”. No, He said, “Let there be light.” Joseph Prince

That light, that power dwells in you today. Let it shine.

Darkness is seductive, seemingly harmless, but deadly. It never keeps promises. Do not give it, the devil, a foothold in your life.

Fix your eyes on Jesus. He will guide you on the pathway of light. Remember, “He that is in you is greater than he that is in the world. (1 John 4:4)

There is no battle against darkness. There never was even a struggle. The light, God Won.

The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
